1. Prepare The Base

Using the foaming bath whip base, measure 16 oz. and place in a clean glass microwave-safe measuring cup. If you want to soften the base, it can be heated briefly in microwave. Whip the soap with a hand mixer until it becomes fluffy.

If you are making shaving cream there is no need to heat the base. Simply whip with a hand mixer until light and fluffy.

2. Incorporate Additives

Fragrance - Adding scent to your base is easy! Simply incorporate up to 15 ml or 1/2 Tablespoon of fragrance oil to the base. Stir well.

Color - After you have scented your base it is time to add the color. You can add as much cosmetic color to your base as desired. We like the liquid cosmetic dye colors. Stir well. Note: Do not add so much color that the skin is stained or the soap bubbles are colored. Soap bubbles should always remain white when the soap is used.

Additional Additives - You can add additional additives to the melted soap base at this time. Make sure you stir them in well. Adding Add 25-50% granulated sugar makes a great exfoliating scrub. After additives have been stirred into bath whip, product can be whipped, again, for a few minutes.

To make sugar scrub cubes add melt and pour soap base to the sugar scrub so it will harden up.

Layered Parfaits: Divide base into two portions and color two different colors. Layer in a clear jar and package.

3. Packaging

Place your sugar scrub in a basic jar with lid. The airless bottle is perfect for shaving cream.
